AC Technician

Job description

Main Duties and responsibilities:
Tasks:
• To fully understand the principles of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and apply them in practice.
• To regularly inspect air conditioning compressor units and effect maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• To maintain charging equipment, refrigeration test equipment and A/C tools in good condition.
• To ensure cleanliness of work areas and protection of the surrounding area when executing jobs.
• To understand control principles of all A/C systems and regularly test, repair and calibrate.
• To verify building area temperatures and adjust as necessary and record on the plant log sheet.
• To complete major and minor services on A/C, Refrigeration equipment as assigned and return the completed job sheets to the Engineering Office.
• To learn and carry out fire brigade duties when assigned.
• To complete the personal daily job record, time book accurately and keep ready for inspection.
• To fully comprehend the building automation system operation, alarm and functionality.
• To trouble shoot & repair A/C systems when necessary.
• To participate in new equipment installation projects.
• To cross train in the fields of plumbing and plant mechanics.
• To response immediately to guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
General Duties:
• To report for duty punctually and well groomed.
• To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
• To maintain good working relationships with own colleagues, and all other departments.
• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
• To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• To have a complete understanding of the Hotel's rules and regulations and adhere to them.
Occasional Duties:
• To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• To respond to changes as dictated by the industry, company or the Hotel.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an AC Technician within the hotel industry.
