Our client is leading marketing company they are currently looking to add a Trainee Accountant to their finance team.

The right candidate will assist and support the smooth running of the accounts department and the wider business, using your insight to develop and implement financial systems and processes that help the company to run efficiently and cost effectively.

The Role

Based at our client's office in Leeds, this role will be reporting to the company's Assistant Accountant. The correct candidate will be required to:

To support effective cash management, including cashflow forecasting and bank reconciliation/admin
To prepare and evaluate all relevant management information
To prepare and review monthly and weekly payment runs
To support the purchase ledger function in the processing of day to day accounts including purchase invoices, credit cards and expenses
To manage the invoicing of work to clients and the collection of debt
To resolve financial queries from across the business
To keep up to date and accurate financial records
To assist with other ad-hoc work as instructed by the Assistant Accounant or Finance Director

The Person:

This role would suit someone at the start of their career in accounting. Recent finance graduates or school leavers with strong A Levels would be preferred.

Experience of working with Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office products
Excellent numerical and analytical skills and the ability to deal with financial data
The ability to challenge inaccurate and incorrect information
A dynamic, confident and self-motivated hard worker with passion and personality
An outstanding verbal and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
The ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
An excellent team player who is willing to help out colleagues
Ambitious, committed and willing to develop your career
