Job description

The HSBC Work Experience programme has been designed to provide students with exposure to the banking sector. At HSBC we are offering students with a variety of placements across our different business areas including:

· Retail Banking and Wealth Management
· Commercial Banking
· Service Delivery
· Card Business Services
· Procurement
· Insurance Business Services
· IT Operations
· Wealth & Insurance Business Services
· Transformation
· Payment Services
· Marketing
· Pension Trust
How to apply
Applications will close on 8th January 2017. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as applications may close earlier if all positions are filled. After the closing date, we will not accept any further applications.

The recruitment process will include completing an online application with eligibility questions, a short online assessment and final stage telephone interview. We will then advise all applicants in March 2017 on the outcome.

The work experience placements are one week in your assigned location and will commence on one of the following dates: 5/06/2017. 12/06/2017, 19/06/2017, 26/06/2017, 3/07/2017, 10/07/2017.

What you will need
Irrespective of your background or the subjects that you are studying, we would welcome your application, if you are considering a career in financial services after school or university.

Our only ask is that you are currently in full-time secondary, sixth form or college education.

Where are the placement locations?
If successful with your application, you agree to be assigned a placement within your region. During the recruitment process you will be asked to give your three preferences, which we will do our best to provide in order to ensure the journey time is reasonable.
