Job description

The UK Work Experience programme is aimed at students looking to get a first-hand insight into what work is like at a leading global Bank is, or considering a career in financial services after school or university.

Consisting of a blend of experiences, both virtual and physical, you can expect to develop hands-on, practical experience in a specific business area, build your knowledge of banking and financial services, and explore future careers available to you at HSBC.

Over the course of a week-long placement, hosted across June, July or August in 2021*, you can expect to get to know HSBC – our values, our history and details on what we do, and gain an insight into jobs that you could be doing if you chose a career with us. There will be an opportunity to work on a live project and share your ideas with your manager.

Please note:
You should submit only one application for a location that is most convenient for you to travel to and from.

We recruit on a rolling basis, meaning that the telephone interviews will start when the first applications are submitted.
