Report to : SVP Technology
Role Purpose:
The VP Technology, Program/Project Management is responsible for working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of banking & cards product or service within the Technology team.
Principal Accountabilities
· Provide support across the end-to-end application service delivery and subsequent system lifecycle, carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand
· End-to-end accountability for a banking or cards product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
· Liaise with other engineers (including internal and external), architects and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction
· Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
· Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
· Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change
· Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
· Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered or managed, i.e. plan and manage projects related to the evergreening of application systems, including software updates, patches, and version upgrades; ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while minimizing service disruptions
· Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
Information
· University or above graduated
· Years of working experience in banking or cards system project management
· The jobholder must use his/her system and business knowledge to provide an efficient and comprehensive level of support to the delivery teams. The role should ensure that the business requirements are correctly captured and understood by the delivery teams to enable them to deliver the system solution with a high degree of quality
· Exposure to customer experience, usability, channels related exposures, with knowledge on corresponding systems and related life cycle knowledge and understanding
· Any experience on Banking/ Cards Operation Excellence will be a clear advantage
· Able to demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities, problem solving skills, learning abilities, team skills and ability to work independently
· Strong people relationship and management skills with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal language skills in Chinese and English
· Good understanding of IT environment and ability to bring knowledge of this to help facilitate the growth, integration and system upgrade/evergreening
· Financial management experience is preferred
· Exposure to and awareness of working in global environments
