We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Underwriter.

Principal responsibilities

· The day to day management and direction to the Hong Kong centre of excellence underwriting team
· Accept or authorise the acceptance of new business cases or increases to existing policies within prescribed limits of personal authority, on a sound and profitable portfolio basis
· Proactively determine and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines and philosophy as to its continuing market competitiveness, its effectiveness and in relation to emerging or changing medical and insurance risk principles and practice and put forward as appropriate recommendations and alternative best practice strategies
· Proactively identify opportunities to improve internal processes and procedures within and external to this role in order to enhance the overall customer quality delivery
· Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with procedures and service standards and the business operates in accordance with Group and regulatory compliance and subject to robust internal controls
· Create and contribute to a customer friendly environment in accordance with our mission and vision, sensitive to and concerned with the needs and issues of the customers

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  University Graduates
·  Solid years of experiences in a Life Insurance underwriting practitioner either in a direct retail office or within a reinsurer
·  Currently holding a substantial financial underwriting insured authority
·  Extensive experience in the areas of Policy Servicing, and Claims Assessment would be an advantage
·  Excellent written skills on both English and Chinese
