As part of HSBC's Global Risk team, Regulatory Compliance works with the business to help achieve our ambition of becoming the bank of choice. We do this through supporting the business to manage regulatory compliance risks and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC's regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues. The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change.

We are currently seeking recent talented and ambitious graduates to join our expanding team, based in Birmingham, in the role of Assistant Compliance Manager . This is a new role within the team and would suit someone who is looking for an entry point into Regulatory Compliance and has both the passion and drive to work for a global Bank. In this role, you will:
·  Ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation
·  Provide guidance on the interpretation and implementation of regulatory change
·  Learn from industry leaders within Regulatory Compliance
·  Be given the opportunity to develop professionally through training and professional qualifications.
·  Assist management in their responsibility for complying with all applicable regulations by the provision of timely and effective guidance and support to the UK business on all aspects of Compliance

Desired profile

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
·  Degree qualified 2:1 or above (or equivalent) (To note you must have graduated by September 2016).
·  Demonstrable interest in Financial Services or Banking
·  Experience of Banking is desired – Can be at any level
·  Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint
