Equities Technology is a global department with teams in London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Pune – supporting businesses covering Cash Equities, Electronic Trading, Delta One and Flow Trading, Equity Derivatives, Prime Finance, and Futures. The organization is rapidly transforming both its people structure and ways of working to better align with our business and increase the speed and quality of delivery. We are adopting a DevOps model driving agile delivery and building a strong product ownership group.
The 2019 change portfolio was almost $100m (including FRTB, Service Sustainability investment, Risk remediation, Regualtory change, Brexit and other discretionary change).
The Equities Portfolio Director is seeking a full-time PMO in Pune, who will work in parallel with him and PMOs in Hong Kong and London, to support the project/programme delivery teams within our product aligned areas.
The role holder will report to the Equities Technology Change Portfolio Director who sits on the EQ technology management team. Day-to-day activity will involve continuous interaction with all delivery leads, product owners and Sub Asset Technology heads. The team objective is to manage the health of our deliveries, actively support the definition and tracking of business benefits and pro-actively identify risks so that action can be taken within the Equities Technology management team or programme governing bodies to avoid impact.
Role holder will work closely with central Programme teams to support them in the production of their various governance materials (WG and SteerCo decks, etc.)
Role holder is also expected to be confident facing off to business aligned Product Owners to help the definition and management of business benefit milestones.
Job Profile:
Programme Management Office (PMO) role holders work in projects of a variety of sizes, which are single or multiple work stream, have country or global dimension, and be of both narrow and broad scope. The principal accountability of the PMO role is to manage the Programme Management Office in carrying out project monitoring, governance and reporting activities.
PMO role holders may have direct reports which may be PMO staff, Project support staff or administration staff. PMO Managers may report to Programme or Project Managers.
PMO role holders will hold most or all of these responsibilities:
• Overseeing the tracking of statuses, project deliverables and milestones
• Risk and issue monitoring and escalation
• Planning and overseeing project and programme level reporting
• Management and monitoring of project governance arrangements
• Monitor, report and manage budgets and expenditure
• Implement project standards across projects
• Oversee the management of project documentation, process documents and information sources
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Responsible for developmental activity for junior team members
Other experience:

Experience working within a department Portfolio Office supporting multiple central programmes
·
Experience coaching PMs and Delivery leads on how to produce high quality MI
·
Exposure to Equities Front Office business
·
Use of Clarity for project reporting, risks/issue maangement and milestone planning
·
Experience using the Group planning tool (GPDM) – HSBC only
