Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)

Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC's global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• The duration of the research will be two months (August – October 2016)

• By the end of the project, a research report along with a proposal of solution should be submitted by the students in each country to Global Head of International & Cross Border for review.

• The working location will be a RBWM local office in US (Los Angeles, or San Francisco), UK (London), Canada (Toronto), Australia (Sydney), Hong Kong and China (Shanghai).

• The student researcher will be supervised by International Heads in each market

• The student researcher is expected to functionally reporting into the the Program Lead and provide weekly progress update lyduring the project

Desired profile

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Active students who are currently enrolled or have completed studying in a reputable university in US, UK, Canada, Australia, HK, China
• With strong knowledge, understanding or connection to Chinese culture
• Able to conduct online research as well as offline interview/observation to collect data and information
• Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem solving and presentation skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin . Able to read simplified Chineseis a plus.
• With knowledge in writing mobile apps such as Java, Swift is a plus.
