The Solutions Analyst role is based within SWD Payment Services UK.
The role of the Solutions Analyst is to analyse and refine business requirements prior to translating those requirements into cost effective IT Systems solutions, in line with Global Software Delivery Architecture standards.
The Systems Analyst is expected to work throughout the project lifecycle from project initiation and inception, and then through elaboration and construction.
They will form key relationships with both business and internal Software Delivery stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:
Elaborating business needs and requirements into IT and Systems requirements
Analysing and defining appropriate IT solutions
Documenting relevant solutions proposals into appropriate artefacts using software delivery methodologies
Producing accurate software delivery estimates to the appropriate level of tolerance
Ensuring technology solutions align with global software delivery architecture principles
Negotiating and influencing project scope, including the assessment of proposed change
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of a range of Business or Payment Services related to IT products and systems
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. banking in terms of Payment systems
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. IT Business or Systems Analysis
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. products or services within Payment Services (e.g. GPS, EVPS) is desirable but not essential
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office applications
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Experience of working with Agile (or equivalent industry standard) development methodologies is desirable but not essential
A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Planned projects and activities systematically in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques
The base location for this role is Sheffield or Birmingham
