We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
· Work with multiple stakeholders, colleagues and vendors across the ERM Business, Transformation, IT, Architecture and Engineering teams, helping them define their technology vision, strategy and solutions.
· Lead the creation of, and own, solution architectures for Enterprise Risk Management, including reference architectures, solution architectures and other artefacts and documents under the oversight of the GRC Architecture leadership.
· Contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management Enterprise Architecture.
· Prepare and present architecture documents and artefacts to peers and governance boards for review and approval.
· Ensure the architecture governance practices are followed and designs are correctly aligned and supportive of the related Compliance & HSBC strategies (Tech, Data, Cloud, Security, etc.).
· Liaise and collaborate with many geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders to build knowledge and coordinate solution design.
· Drive the transfer of knowledge to others through both written and verbal means.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· A strong solution architecture background. Demonstrable experience preparing and presenting architecture governance artefacts to design boards.
· Experience providing feedback and technical knowledge to facilitate peer review of architectures. Using architecture patterns to accelerate decisions and design.
· Experience with cloud and cloud architectures, preferably GCP. Knowledge of a wide range of technologies and solutions, using these to design creative and innovative solutions.
· Be capable of having technical discussions with engineering teams where required. A strong collaborator. Experience of working with Enterprise Architectures and translating those into architectural deliverables.
· A track record of owning and delivering solutions across a broad spectrum of the project delivery lifecycle in involving mixed-shore resource in a complex stakeholder environment.
· The ability to communicate efficiently upwards (to business), downwards (to IT teams) and laterally (to peers, vendors, and client-side staff).
· Familiarity with technology concepts, roles, and terminology, and the ability to work closely with application architects and modelers. Experience with API design and micro-service architectures.
· The ability to serve as an active participant in architecture groups and forums communicating solution strategy and design in conversation, documentation and presentations.
In addition to the above, the following background experience would be highly beneficial:
· Consultancy / customer facing experiences within a software vendor or enterprise scale services environment.
· Financial Services domain knowledge with practical experience of mobilizing technology to meet the market dynamics effecting the financial services domain (Risk / Cost / Customer).
· A track record of successful refactoring / tech-debt remediation projects. Proficiency in interrogating codebases to ascertain behavior, particularly with Java and Spring Boot.
· Experience in digital and broader architectural transformation, applying solutions from experience in decomposing monolithic solutions and methods to manage technical debt.
· Experience working with enterprise architectures, translating those into solution architectures.
· Ability to understand, articulate and translate customer journeys into solution and technical design, leveraging API and micro-service architecture techniques.
· Experience, knowledge and understanding of enterprise level software development and API based integration e.g. Spring, Kong
· Participate in technical design and oversee all technology related issues of cloud native product development, building a micro-services based architecture, promoting API reuse and managing down technical debt across the enterprise.
