We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

Business: Group Data Technology

Principal responsibilities

·  Work within our engineer team to develop and deliver data-related projects and products for HSBC Wholesale.
·  Design, develop, and operate data pipelines, data platforms, applications in Hadoop Data Lake, Public Cloud or On-premises Kubernetes.
·  Build algorithms, models, best practices
·  Analyze and interpret complex data sets
·  Develop and maintain data-related software applications
·  Assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives related to data and AI

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
·  Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java etc…
·  Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
·  Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and techniques.
·  Experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
·  Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
·  Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
·  Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
·  Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
·  Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
·  Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
·  Knowledge of NLP, Graph Computing, Gen AI etc...
·  Familiarity with Scala
