We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Settlement Officer .
Principal responsibilities
· Perform all operational processing in our internal trade settlement system and other Broker Outsourcing Service supporting system, including Third Party Clearing and Agency Clearing.
· Monitor and facilitate successful trade settlements through all systems and tools available.
· Perform broker back office and middle office functions as mutually agreed with clients, including but not limited to settlement instruction pre-matching, settlement date instruction matching and follow-up with counterparties on settlement instructions.
· Inform clients on settlement status and follow up with clients on problem trade transactions in a timely manner.
· Handling and responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Be the key point of client contact and accountable to help address clients" requests.
· Prepare internal control document and reports.
· Be aware of the operational risk associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
· Take all possible measures and actions in managing the potential risks that Sub Custody faces.
Desired profile
Requirements
· Significant relevant experience in broker outsourcing is preferable.
· Prior relevant experience in Settlement team in a brokerage firm or brokerage arm of a bank is highly desirable
· Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.
