The main mandate of Post Trade Team is to deliver global and local solutions for Global Market Operations to automate / streamline Post Trade operations and improve efficiency. The key application we develop and support is TREATS, which is a Group System used by Operations, Risk Management and Finance in over 50 sites across the Group.
 
The role is responsible for:
Work with business analysts and project managers to deliver projects, participate potentially from requirements gathering through production rollout and support
Design and develop IT solutions, both local and global, to meet business needs according to established standards and best practices
Work with other IT teams to deliver projects spanning across multiple business areas and/or IT teams
Perform quality assurance check on deliverables by subordinates and/or peers
Conduct and support testing to ensure quality of deliverables
Produce good documentation on IT solutions for maintainability and to ease implementation by other sites

Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority)
 
The jobholder is required to work within a team of software professionals at various levels. The project team would work closely with experienced teams in HK and GLTc.
 
Jobholder is responsible to perform various assignments on different parts of project. Needs to understand and amend complex systems. Should have good technical understanding and problem solving skills.
 
The jobholder may have to work under pressure while coping with project deadlines, work extended hours and adhere to client or project specific quality and documentation standards as part of project execution.
 
Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
 
Ensure that all changes have appropriate business sign off and are retained as audit evidence.
Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls.
Measure: Zero non-compliance. Ensure proper access/authority for all objects.
Target: 100% of all projects works will meet the TREATS standards, RBPM and SOX requirements.
 
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
 
Quality/Process adherence
Adhere to IT Security Guidelines/Policies
Adhere to GLT code of conduct policy
All changes to services/systems will conform to Group and Local Change Management processes.
Use MKS for source control and release management for AP sites.
Use MQC to log down test cases and defects for all development projects, including small PPCR projects PPCR Release Index.
Target: 100% of releases are done via MKS
 

Desired profile

Essential requirements:
A university graduate with degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
Possess between 3 to 4 years’ IT experience in software design, development and testing
Technical: iSeries, RPG, ILE and CL programming.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Good team player
Strong communication and presentation skills with fluent written and spoken English
Self-motivated with proven rapid learning capability
Able to work independently and under pressure
Willing to travel overseas occasionally when required
 
Preferred skills:
Familiar with source control tool e.g. MKS
Software design and development in an enterprise/global environment using MS Visual Basic or Java/C , XML etc
Knowledge in Middleware: IBM MQ Series, Tibco Rendezvous (RV)
Knowledge in database applications and SQL
Knowledge in treasury products / operations
