We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Wholesale Technology
Principal responsibilities
· Create test strategy and test plans for new implementation or BAU releases.
· Identify the opportunities to save the efforts and cost in testing phase and implement it.
· Understand the business requirements of GPP product and interfaces and support test engineers to create test artifacts and support in test execution.
· Ensuring that the delivery of projects into the live system meet the agreed quality expectations, and are compliant with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements.
· Work closely with stakeholder to understand the project requirement and work on technical delivery.
· Ensuring that any issues, or risks, highlighted in testing are addressed in an appropriate manner, and are escalated as required.
· Ensure compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of IT control issues as they arise.
· Identifying the opportunity for automation and lead the activity till closure.
Requirements
· Excellent knowledge and working experience in agile / scrum methodologies
· Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
· Hands on experience on Oracle DB
· Experience on Web Services (REST, SOAP).
· Good communication skill
· Knowledge of ISO 90022.
· Hands on experience on Jira and Confluence.
· Hands on experience GPP product is plus
What additional skills will be good to have?
· Knowledge of programming language such Java or Python
· Knowledge Automation tools like Tosca and UFT.
· Knowledge of multiple clearing systems
· Hands on experience of CI/D pipelines
