We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  This role assists with the implementation of the Risk and Control strategy as set out by the Head of Business Control and Strategy or team leader. This role will ensure the consistent and effective implementation and performance of operational Risk and Control assurance across Pinnacle Fintech (“PINF”) and its service recipients (incl. INSH, PINB, and etc.).

  This role will be mainly tasked to provide services of RCA (Risk and Control Assessment), thematic control checking or testing, internal/external event review, management issue review, 1st line governance forum (e.g. FLOD) supporting, 1 st line Risk and Control MI, 1 st line TPRM (Third Party Risk Management), 1 st line BCM (business continuity management), CITRO/BIRO, and other 1 st line risk and control responsibilities assigned by team leader, to both PINF and its service recipients.

  This role will engage with all 1 st Line teams, 2 nd line of defense and 3 rd line of Defense at the direction of the Head of Business Control and Strategy or team leader.

  Act as trusted advisor for the senior management of the supported remit area on how to properly manage their operational risk and all items related (Risk assessments, Control environment, issues management;

  Manage the promotion of accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis;

  Manage the provision of specialist risk and control knowledge and insights Leading efforts to continuously improve the control environment and monitoring of risk, including behaviours;

  Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment;

  Actively challenge poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours;

  Manage the development and implementation of future-fit risk management frameworks, including but not limited to business continuity, third party risk management, cyber & information risk management and etc.;

  Influence and shape the development of regulatory frameworks in collaboration with internal parties

  Provide remit area Senior Management with updates on any relevant changes to policy or projects related to operational risk that have an impact on their area of responsibility.

  Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment

  Promote desired behaviours and a positive risk culture across the remit area

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  Degree level education in a relevant field, Risk Management, Audit, Finance or Accounting;

  Deep risk and control subject matter expertise, ideally in Insurance or Wealth Management;

  Strong commercial mindset, with proven experience of creating robust control regimes while prioritizing customer experience;

  Expert and extensive level of cyber and information system risk knowledge is preferred.

  Ability to drive root cause analysis and remediating actions, including solution formulation and end-to-end documentation / closure of events and incidents;

  Actively challenge poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviors while proposing solutions and recommendations;

  Comfortable working with ambiguity and adaptive in a fast-paced environment;

  Analytical acumen in working with figures and ability to distil insights from data;

  Advanced written and verbal communication skills;

  Fluent in Mandarin and English;
