Job description
Title: Senior Marketing Manager, Global Retail Banking MarketingRole Purpose:The Global Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.
The roleholder is required to work with the Global Retail Banking business to understand business strategies to identify opportunities to enhance revenue and growth from current and existing customers through selective and targeted marketing activities. Activities are developed and aimed at growing customer relationships to ensure sustainable revenue growth for the business over the long term. Principal responsibilities
Lead the annual marketing planning process using market intelligence and consumer insights to shape thinking, and ensure marketing plans are built around the strategic objectives of the global retail banking business.
Develop marketing strategies to support business imperatives globally, and guide campaign development and execution in countries to expand market share, grow customer base, and contribute to income growth.
Define segmentation requirements alongside the business to understand customer dynamics and explore opportunities to deliver commercial value.
Guide development of segmentation approach together with behavioural and propensity modelling by leveraging on customer insights and effective exploitation of customer data to broaden and deepen customer relationships.
Establish global marketing approach for customer relationship management with defined communication strategies to industrialise the approach and facilitate fast and efficient deployment in markets.
Design global framework of communications for targeted marketing programmes to support markets in cross-sell and up-sell, and drive customer engagement and retention.
Oversee the global campaign runway to ensure marketing investment and resources are utilized optimally to drive business outcomes.
Act as centre of excellence to provide support and guidance to markets on implementation.
Provide strategic directions to drive digital marketing and website optimization to deliver enhanced customer experience and usage.
Drive strong marketing and brand governance to ensure adherence to the established marketing processes and guidelines.
Desired profile
Requirements
University graduate with a degree in marketing, business management or a numerical science related discipline
Sound expertise and practical experience in the marketing field, preferably in financial services and FMCG organisations
Broad knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry in relation to the operating and regulatory environments, products and services, clients and customers
Strategic and forward thinker who is business focused with strong commercial sense.
Excellent communications, leadership and relationship management skills
Eye for details, accurate and comfortable with numbers and huge amount of information and capacity to multi-task
Self motivated and able to deal with ambiguity
