Senior Manager Facilities Management Corporate Real Estate
 
Role Purpose: Managing the operational relationship between the global Facilities Management partner and HSBC to ensure that the direction, engagement, governance, risk management and performance is in alignment with Global Commercial Real Estate strategy, to ensure that business needs are met.
Reporting to the Global Head of Facilities Management, the individual has responsibility for the operational management of the globally outsourced Facilities Management (FM) supplier relationship across the Europe the Middle East and Africa Geography.  This primarily covers the FM contract with the global Facilities Management partner, but also the residual supplier relationships that remain outside the global contract in some countries. The jobholder strategically plans, directs and controls the delivery and operations of Facilities Management services in the Geography  in partnership with service partners and oversees and drives Group standard FM protocols within a large region
Plans and manages Facilities Management activity in alignment with Group CRE strategy
Integrates  FM planning, processes and delivery with:
Other regional CRE functions (Portfolio & Workplace Optimisation, Capital Projects, Risk & Administration  and Sustainability)
Other supporting functions within HSBC External providers
Standardises the planning, delivery and operational process for Facilities Management in the region
Appropriately balances risk with cost considerations in the management and delivery of Facilities Management
Support the effective transitioning in of a more heavily outsourced and standardised model across a region

Desired profile

Includes the following responsibilities;
Through a global, regional and country-based network of Supplier Managers, ensures that service, risk and cost is appropriately balanced and delivered, aligned to the relevant global standards and the needs of the various stakeholders and building users.
Driving of all aspects of the vendor’s risk management performance at regional level, utilising standardised Key Performance Indicator’s and Key Risk Indicator’s, fully aligned with the Group’s Supplier Performance Management (SPM) framework.  The role holder is responsible for operating and enforcing the Governance Structure between the global Facilities Management partner and HSBC. They will represent all areas of HSBC (taking feeds from Information Security Risk, Security Fraud and Risk, Legal, Compliance, Procurement , other CRE disciplines for risk/service/quality issues and activity), acting as the primary interface between HSBC and the Global FM partner for all risk and operational requirements , being the point of escalation for exceptional non-performance, escalating issues of underperformance, process, or failings of due diligence to the vendors to protect the bank’s exposure to risk
This role is responsible for the overall management of the global Facilities Management partner and the candidates would need to have an Subject Matter Expertise level knowledge of the service, process, risk and operational issues involved in managing the relationship for the European aspect of the largest FM contract in the financial services industry. This delivery platform also supports Health & Safety and Critical Engineering.
