Job description
The Senior Business Manager role is based within the Client Management team, Payments and Cash Management.
The scope of activities undertaken by Client Management spans PCM’s Client Management and related Support areas of Finance, HTS, Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk, HR, Marketing and Communications. PCM is a USD7Bn business with activities spanning over 60 countries and reporting into two Global Businesses, CMB and GBM. The role demands are high requiring the ability to navigate through a complex management hierarchy and global foot print.
The role of the Senior Business Manager is to support the Head of PCM Client Management; the role has a broad remit covering aspects of business analytics, business planning, project delivery tracking and business performance management. Responsible for planning and implementing short and long-term strategies to strengthen PCM's position within the market.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate and run Monthly Client Management Reviews to drive management discipline through the business and run the monthly PCM CM EXCO
Work with Strategy/Finance to drive PCM Client Management strategy and ROP exercises
Lead a variety of projects / initiatives across PCM to improve Client Management performance and facilitate alignment to achieve strategic objectives
Collaborate closely with CMB and GBM to enhance the PCM relationship
Support other members of the business management team to the fullest extent to achieve their goals
Support in overseeing the monthly production, evaluation and interpretation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc management reports
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. PCM Client Management business is desirable but not essential
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Possible travel outside UK
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
An open, flexible and supportive approach to change and innovation
Proven experience of leading others and creating an environment that supports and inspires people to develop and deliver
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers
Successfully engaged customers to understand their needs and identify sales/service opportunities
The base location for this role is Park Street, London.
