Job Responsibilities
The Active Directory Engineer will be a member of the Active Directory Level 3 Engineering team. The successful candidate will work across various businesses and technology organizations within HSBC to research, design and release standards for corporate Active Directory and related environment.
· This role requires an in depth knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012/2012 R2, Dell / Quest Tools, Windows security and related technology.
· Key member of our Engineering team Interfacing, collaborating, and governing all work related to this role.
· Produce enterprise-level designs for key global initiatives and following those through to implementation through collaboration with project, engineering and support teams.
· Must be able to work in a team environment with a “can do” attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.
· Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
· Coordinate and lead projects through all phases of design and implementation.
· Architectural health of Active Directory (schema, trusts, OU structure, etc.)
· Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
· Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Minimum 5 years overall IT experience with 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies.
· Knowledge of Microsoft AZURE, AD/LDS and ADFS.
· Knowledge of Cloud Services such as Google, AWS and Microsoft.
· Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
· Expert knowledge of AD, PKI in Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows Server 2008/2012/2012 R2.
· Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPO's.
· Expert knowledge of Dell/Quest Active Directory Suite
· Knowledge of UNIX, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, in a Windows 2008/2012 landscape.
· Must have an understanding of how to identify and instill industry best practices.
· Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture.
· Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users. • Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems.
· Self-driven and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Desired experience working in a regulated banking/financial environment.
Education
· Preferred Bachelor's Degree and MCSE
