Designation - Senior Software Engineer

Role - GCB 6

Location - Hyderabad

Experience - 4-7 yrs

Detailed Job Description:

· 6+ years of experience on SAS Admin Role

· Experience on SAS Software installation, and supporting mulitple users, Prior experience in installing and configuring SAS Grid is a plus.

· Installs and configures various software packages including patches and fixes

· Unix/Linux and scripting and troubleshooting skills is required

· Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting SAS infrastructure/System issues along with recommending SAS System performance improvements.

· Adding users/groups, defining permissions/security, configuring authentication, creating libraries and database connections, as well as performing root cause analysis for troubleshooting problems

· Strong knowledge of Servers and monitoring utilities

· Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is desired

· Maintain users and permissions and configure SAS Access to data sources.

· Apply hot fixes, maintenance packs and perform upgrades as necessary.

· Prior experience in integration with Hadoop is preferred.

· Understanding of data center infrastructure technologies

· Experience with OLAP/reporting packages (SAS etc) and database management systems (i.e. Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Teradata, Sybase, etc.).

· Excellent customer service and communication skills .

· Make improvements to existing architecture, and Automate manual reports.

· Proven analytical and problem solving techniques.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively within specific timeframes.

· Create policies and procedures as well as update documentation to meet compliance requirements.

· Performs research, presents technical studies/findings and make recommendations.

· Validate that the project is following the best practices and standards. Point out the bottlenecks in the early stage of SDLC/Agile.

· Conduct technical training

· Continuously upgrading with future technical / application trends. Learning various technologies required for successful delivery of projects with department
