Job description

This role is part of the PCM sales team. The Sales Manager is required to help improve client satisfaction through the delivery of customer centric propositions that meet the customer needs whilst using the full range of payments and cash management related solutions.
 
The jobholder is responsible for driving the customer agenda and requires a high degree of self-motivation, organisational skills, as well as strong desire to excel for the customer. The sales manager will specifically work on the London based NBFI clients 
 
Your responsibilities will include:
To manage a client portfolio in order to maintain existing, and generate new income for HSBC.
To manage costs within plan and keep losses to a minimum.
Sector planning and client monitoring/contact as part of the CMB LC client planning process.
To maintain close liaison with key stakeholders so as to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services.
To broaden and deepen client relationships
Working with key stakeholders including, but not limited to CMB, Product Development, Client Implementation and Client Management to ensure a positive client experience.

Desired profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Management experience
Domestic UK Cash Management
Broad based knowledge of HSBC Group companies and product
Proven Sales Record
Ability to communicate with all levels of management both within the HSBC Group and at the client e.g. Financial Directors/Controllers, Treasurers
High level of oral and written communication skills
Willingness to travel and work unsociable hours
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. 20% National Travel
Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same 
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
Planned projects and activities systematically in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques
The base location for this role is Central London.
