l The role of CCO Risk & Control is to set up control policy/ framework/ process across HBTW as to ensure full compliance of regulations and internal/Group policies; and to work with key stakeholders to ensure all key risks within HBTW activities and operations are identified, mitigated, and monitored in an appropriate control environment. This role carries the following key responsibilities:
n Ensuring non-financial risks for WPB are identified, mitigated, and monitored by appropriate control environment
n Implementing risk and control framework by through control assessment, control monitoring plan, key risk indicators and risk heat map
n Managing WPB resolution of control issues, audit points, or regulatory gaps, as well as liaison with business team
n Driving best operational practice through regular testing plan and thematic review.
n Preparing materials and meeting minutes for managing emerging risks and control effectiveness for risk/control owners
n Act as the WPB gate keeper on Tax, including US FATCA, OECD CRS and UK regulatory requirements as well as other guidelines cascaded by Group.
Information
· 3-7 years of relevant experience in the banking field is required
· Familiar with HSBC banking services, systems and process
· Have a strong concept of banking risk control and management to review the appropriateness of Non-Financial Risk Management processes across WPB and businesses
· Operational Risk Management experience
· Attention to detail and familiarity with the local regulatory environment
· Strong communications, project management, and interpersonal skills
· Must be well organised, demonstrate initiative and able to manage multiple projects
· Good time management skills and a positive disposition are needed to cope with pressure of heavy workload and tight headcount control
