Review Team Manager

Job description

The Review Team Manager  role is based within the Business Review Centre in Bristol reporting directly to Senior Management, forming part of the Business Performance Department, which spans multiple locations and functions across the UK.

The role of the Review Team Manager  is to lead and motivate the team to achieve the performance and quality standards required for both internal and outsourced staff performing the review role. Identifying and tracking errors and taking pro-active actions to resolve them.

The business review centre is a high profile regulated evironment and has had a massive project upon it over the last year and spanning the  few years around a big review.   This has raised the profile of the department across the whoel or retail banking and wealth management and has allowed others within to grow and develop their careers internally.  This role specifically is going to be a more rewarding role and more valued one than the investment review one which previosuly had prior to the big review.  Customer reviews  - being reviewed by us, the department, and over a short duration and it will allow the individual to spend 6 weeks to two months developing the review and researching into the products so that we in the department understand what's going on and the outcomes to then liaise and explain to senior stakeholders to gain their support and then implement the new ideas. The  execution part develops quickly once all has been agreed and all finalises very  quickly in this area.  Working here is like a conveyor belt of change and being involved  with constant  high profile stakeholders and allows you to work closely with business managers and learn the full product life cycle and raise one's profile across the areas.  One review example could be on bank account and another one around  credit cards and you ultimately will help shape  what the product is going to be look like.  Its a less operational role and  you will be able to shape and build projects and creative elemnts to this role so creative elements are there.  You will get the chance to also work closely with the product owner and understand the custmer base and getting it right for them and making sure it's well thought through.  Lots of exposure  to the ways things happen at HSBC and how it's run and who makes the decisions.  The progression path - theyre going to be in control of that. They’re going to have more exposure to CVM and Legal and other departments and could stay long-term in Business Performance (BP)  and get more exposure here in the cnetre and raise their profile and be able to network across the board and also can see the whole of the BP.
