Job description
The Relationship Manager-LC (NBFI) role is based within Corporate Banking.
The role of the Relationship Manager-LC (NBFI) is to manage a small portfolio of NBFI relationships with the support of the RSA s and RSOs.
You will acquire, retain, and grow LC CMB customer relationships for HSBC while adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
HSBC LC represents CMB's largest and more complex customers. Gym and onsite café's are the social benefits of working at this site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers.
Generate quality assets through the use of appropriate risk management tools, priced appropriately for risk and ensure superior returns within customers risk appetite.
Structure credit facilities to ensure optimum balance between customer and HSBC interests while remaining within the bounds of prudent banking.
Proactively grow international/cross border revenue
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information on HORIS, Client Vision and other systems as required
Identify opportunities to cross-sell group product and services as appropriate and ensure this is concluded successfully for the Bank and the customer.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of experience in managing complex commercial relationships with international needs
Robust commercial lending, risk assessment, trade finance experience, in-depth knowledge of deposit products and of the concept of cashflows
Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
Knowledge of how LC clients operate is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of Trade, PCM, GB&M, RBWM, and GPB products and capabilities is desirable but not essential
Robust understanding of client planning methodology is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of group systems, including CARM, ClientVision, HORIS, Global Links and Dealpoint is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of CMB policies and procedures as per CMB FIM is desirable but not essential
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
Proven experience of leading others and creating an environment that supports and inspires people to develop and deliver
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is a articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
