Within HSBC Technology and Services, Global Change Delivery focuses on delivering exceptional project and programme management services to the business and enabling function, playing a critical role in aligning the Bank's change portfolio to reflect business priorities, investment parameters and resource capabilities. The division is instrumental in driving change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardisation and optimisation of HSBC's operating model covering people, processes, products and channels.
We are currently seeking an experienced candidate to join our team in the role of Reconciliation Officer – GCB 7.
Responsibilities
· The core objectives of the role are leading the Cards Reconciliation team within Operations - Internal Services and manage day to day Reconciliations operations which would include undertaking of reconciliations activities including monitoring of suspense accounts and reporting, recording and escalating any variances.
· The incumbent would play an important role in reviewing of reconciliation processes, setting up and executing audit controls where needed and metrics reporting.
· The role also requires managing monthly accounting reconciliation certifications, monitoring aging entries in the suspense account, reviewing exceptions, and appropriately resolving the same.
· A critical component of the role is to prepare monthly Assurenet signoffs and escalation of aged entries as per the FIM/escalation matrix..
· The incumbent is expected acquire a good understanding of processes assigned to; allocate tasks on a daily basis to the team consisting of reconcilers.
· Handle escalations from Business Area, resolve queries and support team to handle internal customer queries / issues effectively.
· Plan capacity and perform volume analysis through effective allocation of resources.
· Produce, interpret and analyse Management Information (MI).
· Ensure compliance as per audit requirements by performing the required audit checks for the process. Provide leadership to team assigned in-line with the group and company policies and standards.

Requirements
· Ability to self-direct and self-motivate in an ever-changing environment.
· Ability to understand and follow Group risk management policies
· 2-3 years' experience in Global Operations, either in a HUB and/or Whirl environment and excellent internal/external customer service.
· Experience in credit cards process is an added advantage.
· Have knowledge of accounting entries will be an advantage.
· Proven team player.
