Job description
The Propositions Manager - Portfolio Management role is based within Customer Value Management, RBWM.
The roleholder will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager Strategy and Planning in management and development of the MI and Planning to support both the Advance and Mass Market customer propositions in building, tracking and achieving the annual Customer Operating Plan and Ad-hoc projects to raise strategic issues for consideration at a Senior Management level.
The broad nature of the role demands a high calibre individual capable of dealing simultaneously with a range of issues and projects. Flexibility, adaptability and solid time management are required as tasks are unpredictable, complex and time sensitive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Performance Management
Analyse customer data and insight across different customer propositions and products, aiming to identify opportunities to grow and retain customer value.
Work closely with Analytics, Finance, Business Performance and Product teams, to grow relationship banking, enhance retention and increase customer recommendation.
Analyse information gathered to develop strategies that increase the customer base and our share of wallet, improve retention and grow market share.
Review and enhance understanding of our customer base using existing and other insight tools available
Strategy Implementation Tracking
Supports Customer Operating Plan and Annual Operating Plan cycles, across RBWM
Monitor assigned key Strategy and Planning programmes to ensure quality implementation and high quality reporting as appropriate
Produce robust and balanced analysis/recommendations on issues/projects for Senior Management
Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned in a timely and effective manner and pro-actively raise strategic issues for consideration
Leadership
Contribute to the strategic thinking and activity in the wider Strategy and Planning
Enhance Strategy and Planning’s reputation as a function that leads in strategy definition and implementation and as source of quality resources
Actively build strong relationships with key partners in CRM, Marketing, Proposition and Product teams, as well as broader RBWM stakeholders
Be an advocate of the Customer Plan ethos, driving the vision and the changes required, with pace and commitment.

Financial Modelling and preparation of ‘what if’ P&L scenarios to support Planning and Strategic decisions.

Preparation and review of monthly Financial and Performance reports.
Ability to interact and influence at peer and senior levels of the organisation
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of regulatory environment in the UK with the ability to think strategically and to innovatively shape and communicate new concepts. They will also be very comfortable interacting with and influencing at, peer and senior levels of the organisation.
The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London.
