We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:

Project & Programme Management roles lead change initiation, design and delivery and are accountable for successful delivery of both Technology and Business Change Programmes and ensuring benefits realisation. They operate at an executive level and engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across HSBC. The remit area may be market-based, regional or global, and may cross multiple GB/GFs

Project & Programme Management roles will hold most or all of these responsibilities:
·
Drive / support programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
·
Assisting business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams via respective backlogs with minimum cross product co-ordination
·
Managing / supporting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
·
Drive / support the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank
·
Supporting of senior Project / Programme mangers across all stages of the initiative lifecycle to deliver larger / more complex / high priority Programmes & Projects
·
Lead / support definition of staffing / resourcing, responsibilities and schedules
·
Lead / support the establishment of effective programme controls and procedures
·
Drive / support the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with Change framework at all times.
·
Manage / support the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices
·
Participation in regular planning and status meetings. Input to the development process through to involvement in Sprint reviews and retrospectives
·
Deal with escalations from the development team and know when to escalate issue further
·
Regular RAG reporting and timely raising of emerging risks and issues
·
Monitoring project budgets to ensure that the project is completed based on an agreed forecast
·
Promoting delivery standards, mentoring, knowledge sharing and agile principles
·
Liaise with BAs to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented. Liaise with Testers to ensure that they understand how requirements have been implemented – so that they can be effectively tested
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Sound knowledge of agile principles and guidelines with experience of leading technology projects
·
Experience with common project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office Suite
·
Comfort managing project budgets of £500k - £2m
·
Strong risk assessment skills to identify upcoming risks and issues to a project delivery
·
Awareness of data controls such as data sharing across borders and data quality guidelines, DPRIV,DSTO, DUSE and DMOV
·
A general awareness of banking products to both retail and commercial clients
·
Effective and clear communication to stakeholders
· Proven track record of working under pressure and juggling multiple priorities
·
An agile or project management certification such as Scrum, SAFe, Prince2 or PMP
·
An understanding of Hadoop architecture
·
Prior experience in HSBC’s Wholesale bank would be advantageous
