We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Principal Engineer - Equities and Securities Financing.

Principal responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Securities Financing Principal Engineer in Guangzhou will be to cut across all engineering teams and provide expertise and guidance to our technologists and increase their impact through software. Ensure continual delivery by using your experience and combination of skills to influence and lead key personnel in the delivery of technology solutions that adhere to our Technology's vision.
You will be drawn to the key initiatives that are the priority of the moment such as a new Cloud hosting platform or the investigation into how to best leverage the vast amount of data at our disposal.
This person will provide positive, hands-on engineering leadership supported by proven experience in expert development, agile delivery and applying the latest technology solutions and architectures from the wider technology community to deliver change with maximum impact.
Requirements
· Researches new technology and processes and is the driving force to adopt them
· Someone who can think few steps forward of technology and guide the team or department to a new direction
· Someone who isn't just a specialist in one domain (e.g. just networks); we prefer generalists, who can apply their thinking to many problems
· Demonstrates mastery of their technical discipline – including low latency, high performance real-time applications system design and implementation
· Demonstrates mastery of their functional domain – including electronic algorithmic trading, Market Making, Risk Management and Front Office Trading
