Pricing Analyst at M&S Bank
The purpose of the M&S Bank Customer Value Management (CVM) function is to understand customers current and future needs and to integrate that thinking into strategic, tactical and operational activities to drive growth in customer value, satisfaction, engagement and ultimately profitability.
The purpose of the Pricing Analyst is to act as a consultant to product managers, helping them take informed decisions related to a) optimal product pricing and b) profitability valuation of new product launches and c) promotional campaigns.
Key responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to :

Develop & maintain Pricing models to predict customer's need & response to price change.

Conduct impact analysis of strategic decisions through simulations of respective Key Performance Indicator change and new Profitability prediction.

Interact with product managers to help strengthen their understanding of a decision impact on Profit and Loss
·
Apply specialist understanding of competitor and self-pricing strategies for a specific product in a given market to create proposals to improve bottom line profit, book size or mitigate impact of ever-changing market dynamics, optimize Volume/Profit

Conduct price elasticity testing to determine the impact on demand and behaviour
·
Present price change recommendations, business case analysis etc at relevant forums
