Job description
The Premier Relationship Manager role is based within Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
The role of the Premier Relationship Manager is to manage the HSBC relationship with our Premier clients where professionalism, client focus and an expert understanding of financial planning and wealth products are critical to the success of the business. The role holder has a responsibility to acquire, develop and deepen relationships with a portfolio of Premier clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering a consistent and tailored wealth management service to our Premier clients
Developing long term, in depth client relationships with clients
Acquiring new clients with proactive strategic planning to maintain and grow
Leading Premier activities to ensure opportunities are identified and client needs are met effectively, maximising all available resources
The FCA describes the Premier Relationship Manager activities as a controlled function, and individuals must be approved by the FCA as being fit and proper to carry out their duties. All approved persons must at all times comply with the FCA's rules and principles for Approved Persons and Code of Practice
Complying with the relevant Group standard including GHQ and the Regulatory organisation as applied to the implementation of the Retail and Wealth Management strategy in their country
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of wealth products
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. financial services
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. advsoriy/ relationship mananger
Role relevant qualifications, i.e.DipCII (or equivalent QCF RDR level 4qualification) and holds Competent Adviser Status (CAS) Statement of professional standards required (SPS) and practising with the FCA
A full, valid driver's license
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. travel required with the allocated coverage area of region
A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
A comprehensive understanding of business finance and management information and an ability to use this information to inform decisions and deliver efficiencies/savings
Acted as a strategic advisor to customers, having established and built valuable long-term relationships with significant customers
A track record of successfully identifying and developing significant/complex business propositions, that attract and entrench customers, in a fair and ethical way
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will be an experienced and professionally competent relationship manager able to provide customer with high level service and access to financial expertise.
