Job description

The Premier Client Manager role is based within HSBC Expat.
The role of the Premier Client Manager is to manage the HSBC relationship with our Premier Clients where professionalism, client focus and an expert understanding of financial planning and wealth products are critical to the success of the business.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acquiring, developing, and deepening relationships with a portfolio of Premier Clients
- Delivering a consistent and tailored wealth management service to our Primer clients
- Monitoring the performance of the assigned portfolio to ensure it is effectively run
- Driving new business
- Developing a long term, in depth client relationships with clients
- Working closely with the Premier Relationship Managers and Officers to develop their knowledge

Your role will support all major objectives around Protect, Simplify and Grow.
Training is excellent with an incredibly robust onboarding process which prepares the role holder for entry into a highly regulated and risk based role. Coaching is constant and if you are proactive this will enhance your opportunities for development into new roles.
Career progression across HSBC is a key business focus. For high achieving employees there are opportunities to move abroad or into other business areas.
This role offers the opportunity of working with internationally mobile clients who would be classed as Private Banking clients with a lot of other institutions.
The working environment is incredibly fast paced and no day is ever the same, one day you can be placing a large investment and the next day speaking to a client on location on an oil rig. The conversations are very enriching.
The team environment is fantastic with plenty of social opportunities. There are plenty of sports to try/continue and events on a fairly regular basis.
You will have more than enough opportunity to attend work based events, and non work based events.

Desired profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Role relevant qualifications, i.e.
DipCII (or equivalent QCF level 4) is essential
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Investment Products, Protection Products, Insurance Products
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Wealth Management
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Competent Adviser Status (CAS) or has held within the last 5 years is desirable
Proven experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer service and proactively look for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to
work collaboratively
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
Experience of successfully structuring complex business lending deals, accounting for the associated risks and regulations
A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers
A track record of successfully identifying and developing significant/complex business propositions, that attract and entrench customers, in a fair and ethical way
