Department Overview:
Equity Derivatives IT (EQD IT) team is a global team responsible for the definition and delivery of Equity Derivatives systems across HSBC.
The Equity Derivatives IT department is organized by services (Post-Trade, Pricing and Analytics, Common Services, FO Tools, regulatory, Risk and P&L) and teams are distributed across the 5 locations (Pune, Paris, Hong-Kong, Guangzhou London and New-York).
As part of HTS GB&M strategy, EQD IT is changing his organizational model to cater to changing business needs.
Role:
You will be part of talented software development team and will be instrumental for Production support, monitoring and stability during HSBC's software deliveries and upgrades to comply with business, regulatory and user's requests.
Responsibilities:
· The role is to provide 1 st line support for the business and technology teams.
· Fault logging and resolution – notification of which will be through multiple channels
· Initial incident classification and prioritisation
· Incident investigation, management, remediation and escalation
· Involvement and assistance in major outages. This may include creating ‘flash reports' to key / senior management globally
· Manage the handover process to colleagues in Paris, US, London, Hong Kong, China and India.
Mandatory Skills / Experience:
· Graduate with degree in IT (BCA/MCA/B.E/BS etc.)
· Must have knowledge of some scripting language such as Shell scripting.
· Solid skills on RDBMS and PL/SQL development
· Good understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps tooling such as JIRA, Maven, Ansible etc.
· Good written and spoken English and an ability to communicate with peers, managers and the business users globally is essential.
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision and handle pressure when delivering results quickly.
· Expected to work on multiple tasks at the same time and therefore good time management and co-ordination skills are essential
· Working knowledge of MQ, EXCEL, XSL, XML, Web services
Optional Skills:
· Investment Banking exposure and knowledge.
· Prior exposure to Sophis or any Trade Processing System.
· At least 2 years investment banking experience within an Equity Derivatives environment: booking, pricing, trade life cycle.
