Role Overview
To process cheques, demand drafts and cashiers orders in line with Service Level Agreements and QCB regulations. Below are the core tasks but not limited to same. The job holder is also expected to multi-task where necessary, within the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Processing Inward and Outward Cheques via Electronic Cheque Clearing System
(ECC), includes handling discrepancies and Post Dated Cheque approvals.
• Approval of Demand Draft and Cashier Orders, including reconciliation, cancellations and
handling of unclaimed funds.
• Oversee COS Company Cheque and COS Cashiers Order printing, reconciliation,
cancellations and handling of unclaimed funds.
• Manage Foreign Currency cheques (BCC/CBR) and Inward cross border QAR cheques (IBC)
• Month end balancing of Suspense accounts
• Review and acknowledgement of On Demand reports
• Liaising with LoB's as and when required for projects, system implementations, process
streamlining, etc.
• Perform UAT as and when required.
• Assist LM with audit reviews and implement recommendations.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships and engagement with the LOBs and Functions.
• Adherence to Global policies and procedures.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum Secondary High school or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Arabic would be an advantage.
• PC literate and basic knowledge - MS office applications.
