Job description

The Payments & Cash Management Sales Manager role is based within PCM.
 
The role of the Payments & Cash Management Sales Manager is to achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining strategic relationships with new and existing clients in order to identify and sell innovative cash and clearing management solutions to the Large Corporate sector of HSBC's CMB Corporate clients.
 
Responsibility for pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of cash management services for the Large Corporate CMB Sector, together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the HSBC Group. The jobholder is ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio within the Sector.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
To manage a client portfolio in order to maintain existing, and generate new income for HSBC
To manage costs within plan and keep losses to a minimum.
Sector planning and client monitoring/contact as part of the CMB client planning process.
To maintain close liaison with key stakeholders so as to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services.
To broaden and deepen client relationships.
Working with key stakeholders including, but not limited to CMB, Product Development, Client Implementation and Client Management to ensure a positive client experience.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
European Cash Management
ExpEuro Clearing Services
Global Cash Management
Broad based knowledge of HSBC Group companies and product ranges
Proven Sales Record
Ability to communicate with all levels of management both within the HSBC Group and at the client e.g. Ministers, Senior Civil Servants, Financial Directors, Treasurers
High level of oral and written communication skills
Management experience  is desirable but not essential
International Banking Knowledge  is desirable but not essential
Treasury Foreign Exchange Knowledge  is desirable but not essential
Corporate Banking experience  is desirable but not essential
Relationship Management experience  is desirable but not essential
Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively 
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers
The base location for this role is Queen Victoria Street, London.
