We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Operational Counterparty Credit Risk Manager, Associate Director
Principal responsibilities
· Revieiwing & understanding the regulatory framework on counterparty credit risk; Reviewing and attesting all Desk Instructions Manuals (DIM).
· Working with all stakeholders in the integration of strategic architecture in the run-the-bank services.
· Provide direct admin support to the regional teams; Engage with CCR SME to actively review and manage the team book of work; Monitor all the NFR book of work items and embed the MSS Ops strategy in the teams’ ways of working.
· Work closely with Traded Risk (Counterparty Credit Risk Managers & Change/IT), Collateral & Risk, Front Office (Relationship managers & Sales)., GRA (Group Risk Analytics) and Regulatory Reporting Teams.
· Keep track of the error metrics on real time basis and consistently seek to achieve zero error standards; Put in place the improvement plans for repeated errors and work in close coordination with the analyst to ensure that the plan is implemented effectively.
· Escalation of errors and client feedback to relevant stakeholders as per process; Service offering is critical to the HSBC internal model approvals due to the data expected to be monitored and control daily by the teams, across the 3 main HSBC regions.
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Complete appropriate internal control standards and relevant compliance policy
Requirements
· The Operational CCR Manager is expected to manage the teams across 3 regional HSBC locations, locate in Manilla and Bangalore; manager will also be overlooking the counterparty credit risk controls required:
· To satisfy the PRA, EBC, OCC, HKMA and other regulatory requirements on credit risk data; To support the efficiency of IMM and non-IMM control requirements.
· To deliver on a proficient and consistent BAU services across the 3 main HSBC regions; To partner with the Ops CCR SME on the integration of strategic requirements and implementations.
· To build building continuous relationship and engagement with stakeholders; Counterparty Credit Risk Management VP Level; Team management experience of small to medium size teams.
· Strong knowledge of the asset class (FX, Equity and Fixed Income); Strong knowledge of counterparty metrics and measures; Good understanding of the Counterparty Credit Risk RWA regulatory requirements
· Self-motivated counterparty credit risk management professional who enjoys learning about financial risks, collaborating within a team and interacting with the Front Office and other stakeholders on a daily basis.
· Knowledge of financial products and key credit risk concepts such as; CSA, Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analysis and capital are required.
· Attention to detail, project management and prioritization skills will also be key in balancing daily deadlines with timely implementation of strategic projects; Demonstrate a proactive and a can-do attitude.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
· Highly developed oral and written communication skills to prepare and present risk information to a variety of audiences, which includes other senior risk managers, senior Firm management, front office personnel and the Firms Regulators.
· An excellent academic background and strongly analytical background / training garnered from previous jobs in credit risk (or fields related to credit risk).
