HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai), a joint venture securities company, was incorporated on 28 August 2017, pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares, while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (QFH) holds the remaining 10%. Our headquarters are located in Qianhai, Shenzhen. We have branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and a trading outlet in Qianhai, Shenzhen.

Responsibilities of the role holder

·        Take ownership of MSS control and conduct framework. Support MSS businesses by ensuring effective execution of global and local governance, assurance, conduct and control standards. Track issues in relation to MSS businesses and act as an additional escalation point with respect to internal control issues of the MSS businesses;

·        Responsible for implementing efficient operational risk management in MSS. Key accountabilities include compliance with regulation and ensure business keeps pace with regulatory reform, work closely with business and COO to ensure risk well controlled and facilitate continuous evolvement of risk and control framework via enhancements to policy, process and infrastructure;

·        Work closely with local and regional risk stewards and assist in implementing policies and processes to mitigate MSS business’ top risk;

·        Connect with regional NFR, business and COO to align practice/controls, and coordinate MSS businesses and stakeholders to adopt and implement practice/controls.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·        Understanding of local secondary market - brokerage, trading and asset management;

·        Good understanding of front to back processes within MSS;

·        Strong Chinese and English language (both written and oral) skills, and previous working experience in global investment bank is preferred;

·        Strong communication skills to coordinate and influence business heads and functional stakeholders;

·        Positive attitude and thinking, and always look for quality/efficiency improvement in day-to-day work.
