We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
· The job holder is responsible for 24x7 production support (24*7 shifts on rotational basis) to Mongo/Db2 databases and work as a Consultant Specialist for the production support team.
· Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes.
· Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues.
· Join crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, also mentor team members.
· Experience and expertise in maintaining complex High Availability & Replication and sharding cluster setups.
· Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery.
· Identify automation and Self-Healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and contribute to process improvement.
· Expert knowledge in troubleshooting and handling critical issues in Mongo environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· Candidate should be capable to handling production issues independently and provide resolutions within agreed SLA’s.
· Experience in Performance Tuning of the database.
· Participate in Crisis Calls, MIR, PIR.
· Should be able to present a solution and implement or explain the problem to both technical and non-technical parties.
· Should be able to lead crisis calls and work on finding the Root Cause Analysis and should be able to test & implement remedial actions.
· Follow best practices while managing systems and delivering services.
· Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automations, self-service solution, and process improvement initiatives.
· Experience of working in Sharding Environments
· Experience in Replication Environment.
· Experience in handling Performance Tuning
· Experience in various monitoring tools like profiler, mongo top, mongostats, mongosync etc.
· Experience in MongoDB backup and recovery
· Experience in OPs Manager.
· Experience in MongoDB Logging mechanism and Journaling.
· Experience of Handling Crisis Calls.
· Troubleshoot various type of critical issues in production environments.
· Knowledge on database patching and upgradation.
· Experience as Db2 LUW dba would be added advantage.
· Mongo DBA external certification will be an added advantage.
