Designation - Consultant Specialist

Purpose of the Job

We're looking for someone with proven track record of owning and delivering complex Infrastructure delivery projects under demanding timelines. Our investment in data centers and other physical infrastructure in various regions presents many unique challenges. You are expected to understand how our infrastructure projects intersect with business, Software delivery teams and build awareness and capabilities in those areas. You are expected to build strong relationships across service line and with our internal partners in other service lines and central ITID teams.

Job Description:

· WebSphere engineers required to build and maintain WAS, WAS Portal, BPM, SIL, DataPower, Apache, WebLogic (plus other niche technology) Services for the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
· Minimum 3 years WebSphere Application Server and/or WebSphere Portal experience version 7.*, 8, 8.5.
· Solid understanding and experience in a UNIX environment.
· Understanding of J2EE
· Experience of Java, Web technologies and WebSphere Portal.
· Familiarity of scripting languages such as Jython, Perl and Shell.
· Proven experience of building WAS/WP services in development environments followed by the rolling out of these services to production services for high availability services.
· Excellent priority management and a willingness to take ownership with a can do approach even under pressure.
· Good analytical and logical thinking is essential.
· Good communication skills.
· Flexibility to work at weekends if required.

Special skills desirable:

· LDAP or Active Directory experience is beneficial.
· BPM, FileNet and ORACLE WebLogic knowledge also desirable.

Experience & Qualification:

· Bachelors degree or equivalent
· 5+ Years of experience as a WAS admin
· 5+ years of infrastructure systems, Infrastructure projects, network and ITIL process design and implementation
· 5+ years of experience supporting clients and client expectation management
· Naturally accountable and responsible.
· Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
· Strong facilitation skills.
· Bonus points for past nfrastructure experience.
