Skill - MDM Analyst

Experience - 7 to 9 yrs

Designation - Consultant Specialist

Location - Hyderabad

Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)

§ The job holder should have detailed knowledge of Customer MDM IBM data model and ability to make changes in it

§ The jobholder has work closely with IT counterparts at onshore and business users to understand the data and subsequently translate the business meaning into clear and unambiguous data requirements.

§ The jobholder will also have to do the metadata analysis of the existing target data models and identify reusable attributes, matching the business purpose and granularity.

§ The jobholder will also work with the MDM development team to ensure that the data is delivered as expected, considering all filters, aggregations, derivations and transformations.

§ Should have a clear understanding of IBM MDM data model and business use.

§ Understand the business requirements, by working closely with business users.

§ Should have a clear understanding of banking and financial domain concepts and terminologies.

§ Translate the business required functionality into data requirements in a clear and unambiguous manner to customize MDM.

§ Analyze metadata of the existing models and identify reusable attributes, matching the business purpose and granularity.

§ Work closely with the MDM team to ensure that the data is delivered as expected, considering all filters, aggregations, derivations and transformations.

§ Complete understanding of the MDM and its associate applications and the jobholder should be able to conceptually understand the data flow and maintain traceability.

§ Follow agreed data governance and standards.

§ Work in DevOps/Agile mode.

In a rapidly evolving business environment, demands for developing new systems and enhancements to the existing systems are increasing to take advantage of potential new business lines. This requires knowledge of the existing systems as well as the business and a combination of an analytical and challenging mind, learning abilities and planning, managerial skills. The jobholder should demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities, technical skills, learning abilities, team skills and ability to work independently. The job holder must have the ability and commitment to deliver to tight deadlines.

The jobholder must be open to absorb new technology and adapt enough to deal with a variety of disciplines (business, IT). Acting as part of a service providing entity, the jobholder has to work on multiple projects that may also envelop different domain areas.

§ The Job holder will need to have the ability to enable the work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical and business environment, effectively coordinating the delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams.

§ The Job holder will need to have a practical mind-set to progressively enable the defined data architecture discipline could be implement within the organization through value-driven initiatives

§ The Job holder will be guided by the Business Functions and will work closely with Business Users.

Management & Leadership of Regulatory, Compliance & Operational Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

§ Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls.

§ Implement and comply with Group Compliance Policies applicable.

§ Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role.

§ Implement Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant compliance department. The term ‘compliance' embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the Business has to comply.

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)

§ Adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls.

§ Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements (including Sarbanes Oxley), including the management of operational risk, security and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications ( For the role – not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.)

§ Knowledge and experience on IBM MDM data model.

§ Knowledge and experience on understand business functions and terminologies.

§ Ability to make changes in Customer MDM model to satisfy user needs

§ Expertise in gathering and translating business requirements into technical requirements at data or logical transformation level.

§ Thorough understanding of banking and financial domain terminologies.

§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) – comfortable with detail – both functional and technical.
