IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices.  It employs around 8,500 employees globally and comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and PMO, and Risk and Administration. Collectively, these areas define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals.
 
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Market Data Administrator.
 
Principal responsibilities
Provide day-to-day global market data validation and support to end-user business areas.
Proactively investigate and satisfactorily resolve market data queries and issues to ensure all data provided to end-users are validated, including liaising with external data vendors on quality and services issues.
On-going monitoring and review of existing and potential market data vendors to ensure only the optimum quality market data providers are identified.
Assist with carrying out testing of end-user platforms and client market data solutions.
Understand, maintain and uphold HSBC’s risk, control and compliance standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external auditors and regulators.
