We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Programme and Project Services Manager.
Who we are:
The Programme and Project Services Manager in Digital Business Services (DBS) Transformation Services leads the Project Management Office (PMO) of a Portfolio/ programme, supports the change initiatives within the Portfolio independently and acts as the right hand of the Portfolio Lead/ Programme lead / Delivery lead.
The activities are centralized around the Portfolio/Programme Governance, assurance, resource and work planning & control, budget management, benefit management and change management. This role will act as a source of guidance and provide governance and metrics to the global change initiatives and in supporting the delivery leaders for making strategic decisions. This role is responsible for following the HSBC Change Framework, using the standard project management tools aligned to the groups Strategic Tooling Spine such as Clarity and JIRA.
Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Gurugram / Pune
In this role, you will:
· Support schedule/plan management, identify and monitor internal/external dependencies and milestones for successful delivery of Portfolio/Programme outcomes in line with agreed delivery plans and Programme Increment (PI) Planning.
· Monitor & support the portfolio investment allocations, benefit projections & a holistic view of the financial performance and ensure those are in line with defined Portfolio strategy, customers & business outcomes managing Portfolio/Programme resource capacity.
· Support the definition & operation of Change Governance initiatives and portfolios in line with agreed tolerances, providing oversight across Global markets. Act as secretariat for Portfolio governance meetings, including finalising agenda, driving the meeting, circulating minutes, and following up on any actions to closure.
· Design & manage delivery dashboards and MI for insightful visualization to support decision-making, while ensuring the data is accurate and the latest status are reported for all the key parameters, via the bank’s standard tools.
· Facilitate Change control around the business case commitments (funding, outcomes, and value delivered) and ensure Business cases are impact assessed and approved in line with agreed tolerances.
· Define and operate portfolio control monitoring activities that monitor quality and adherence to the standards, ensuring compliance to HSBC Change Framework, HSBC Functional Instruction Manuals, SAFE, AGILE etc.
· Understand and advocate design thinking and its use throughout the change ideation and delivery lifecycle.
· Apply customer centric approach by identifying the change and assessing its impact across the organization while preparing and supporting impacted individuals and teams to seamlessly adopt the change.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Critical Thinking by bringing structure and order to undefined and/ or large-scale problems to solve them systematically, logically, and independently.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills along with effective inter-personal and negotiation skills.
· Stakeholder management skills with a consultative approach to engaging with internal clients.
· Knowledge of industry standards in Project, Programme, Portfolio management (Waterfall and Agile).
· Understanding of Billing process, Cost Allocation Methodology, Cost recharges, Annual Operating/ Investment Plan, Management & reporting (Investments + Benefits) including Group Planning Data Model Hierarchy
· Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), PPM Tools, HSBC Change Framework, Group Tools such as Clarity / Jira / Confluence / Group Planning Data Model and other collaboration tools.
· P3O® or any equivalent certification would be an added advantage.
