We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Manager - Liquidity Reporting Operations
Role purpose:
This role is within the Reporting Operations Americas capability, Regulatory and Liquidity Reporting vertical. Liquidity and Regulatory Reporting is a vital component in assessing the bank’s vulnerabilities, determining risk through various Basel metrics and thereby the resilience of the bank through improved risk management. As such, the role holder will operate within one of the most complex Finance and Risk management processes within the bank, then scope of the team will extend across liquidity and all RWA risk types as well as Capital, Leverage. This role will be in the core of a strategic and regulatory priority with ever increasing expectations such as Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) program.
Main activities:
· Support and oversee the Liquidity reports production process, which includes Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) report, Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) report, Prudential Regulatory Authority 110, Internal Liquidity Metric (ILM), Additional Monitoring Metrics (AMM) report, ALCO packs and other liquidity reports (i.e. Depositors Conc, Term Funding).
· Develop a deep understanding/subject matter expertise in various verticals across the regulatory reporting landscape (for local, US and UK regulators)
· Participate in targeted reviews and deep dives – detailed review linked to robust risk-based criteria (e.g., review of site returns, testing of calculation compliance), including interpretation of key policies and understanding of operational implementation.
· Understand and document outstanding risks/issues in relation to remediation progress made – develop understanding of impact on outstanding remediation issues and ensure within risk appetite.
· Work closely with Controls Office team, ensuring all issues are appropriately flagged and logged in Helios.
· The role will play key part in the execution and fulfillment of the regional IRR agenda. The main activities include participation in transaction testing, creation of relevant documentation and control environment enhancements.
· The role involves liaising with in-country teams and therefore requires good verbal and written communication skills.
· The role is also accountable for implementing new reports as per group framework and also for ensuring adherence of reports to the guidelines and minimum control requirements set out by Risk Stewards and IRR program.
· Escalating issues and risks to senior stakeholders/team leads on a timely basis.
· Understanding and documenting clear basis of preparation for each aspect of the reporting process per regional IRR requirements
· Potentially required to manage team/direct reports/graduates and oversight of their training and review work produced.
· This role will be required to support either regional or group reporting operations lead and is part of HSBC’s commitment to enhancing the control environment and rigor around regulatory reporting.
Requirements
· Good understanding of (1) financial products, (2) market product specific knowledge and (3) financial /management reporting (with balance sheet focus), as well as an ability to develop an understanding of the various regulatory frameworks including Basel III
· Experience 3-5 years
· Financial background
· Good communication skills
· English fluent
