We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as an Manager GTS Sales
Role Purpose
The position is pivotal in the growth of new Trade business while strategically developing, managing, and expanding the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) portfolio in the Philippines. The role involves collaboration with a dynamic team of coverage, sales and service managers in Wholesale Banking. GTS Philippines stands out as one of the fastest-growing markets in South & Southeast Asia (S&SEA), presenting a significant opportunity for growth. This role is ideal for a driven and seasoned Sales manager eager to capitalize on this momentum and propel even further expansion of the business.
Principal Accountabilities:
Impact on the Business
· Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed sales objectives, driving revenue growth.
· Maximize Profitability: Optimize profitability across each account within the portfolio by identifying and leveraging opportunities.
· Ensure Competitiveness: Continuously assess and enhance the competitiveness of our solutions in the market.
Customers / Stakeholders
· Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor.
· Consultative Selling: Implement consultative selling techniques, crafting innovative and tailored solutions that address customer needs.
· Thought Leadership: Lead workshops, training sessions, and presentations to support business development and position HSBC as a thought leader in the market.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Compliance Management: Implement the HSBC Group Compliance policies at the local level by managing compliance risk in collaboration with compliance officers and fostering a culture of compliance.
· Maintain Internal Controls: Uphold internal control standards, ensuring the timely implementation of audit points and addressing any issues raised by regulators. Proactively manage operational risk, including identification, assessment, mitigation and reporting of losses.
· Credit Risk Management: Actively mitigate credit risks to safeguard the bank from potential losses.
Information
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) required.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Trade or Corporate/ Commercial Banking.
· Strong knowledge of core trade solutions, supply chain finance, and receivables finance solutions.
· In-depth understanding of credit and risk management.
· Exceptional influencing and negotiating skills.
· Comprehensive understanding of the local commercial banking market, including competitor landscapes and propositions.
· Strong business acumen with the ability to assess and drive commercial opportunities.
· Proven time management, planning, and organization capabilities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to deliver impactful presentations.
· Thorough understanding of the trade cycle and processes involved in import/export financing.
· Strong analytical capabilities to assess and interpret data effectively.
· Ability to engage and build rapport with customers, including senior or C-suite executives (e.g., CFO).
· Proficiency in managing change within a dynamic business environment.
· Ability to grasp the fundamentals of our customers’ businesses and tailor solutions accordingly.
