We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Business Management and Performance Effectiveness.
Principal Responsibilities
The role holder will support the S&SEA WPB Chief of Staff – Business Management and Performance Effectiveness team and is responsible for (i) Sales Incentive Governance and Assurance and (ii) Ops Demand planning & tollgates (iii) Business Management related activities.
(i) Business Performance and Project Management
The role includes liaison with Senior & Executive Management across Regional HSBC and creation of analysis for use in Business Performance and Management Forums. Specifically covering the following aspects:
· Support the Head of SSEA WPB to develop and implement business strategies
· Coordinate cross-functional projects related to Business Restructuring and Cost and Workforce management, etc, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic objectives
· Support the preparation of regular reports, MIs and management summaries on business / product performance for senior management Support the delivery of MI and insights solutions for the S&SEA Region
· Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure deliverables are kept on track and delivered on time
· Project Management of ad-hoc assignments
(ii) Sales Incentive Governance: support the targeted operating model for Sales Incentive Governance & Oversight.
· Oversee the execution of governance, monitoring, and risk stewardship of the SSEA Performance Framework
· Ensure consistent sales incentive design in local markets against global framework
· Support the implementation of MI Control Dashboard with related control indicators to support holistic oversight in Country Incentive Forums (CIF)
· Spot-check of sales incentive calculation, review and approval of local incentive governance design
(iii) Ops Demand Planning & Quarterly Tollgate
· Prepare and run the regional process for the annual WPB operations demand planning with markets
· Prepare a robust submission highlighting overall affordability, risks, and prioritization to the strategy
· Interlock with the DBS operations team and Global WPB COO to ringfence funding
· Manage the regular Ops demand tollgate with markets in order to reprioritize and address critical unplanned demand
· Implement and maintain a robust SSEA Performance tracking Framework and ensure alignment with global framework and KPIs
Requirements
This role requires an individual who can demonstrate strength and experience in the following areas:
· Thorough understanding of Wealth and Personal Banking Business would be desirable
· Financial analysis, business management, or Data & Analytics experience would be desirable
· Strong business acumen with good problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
· Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented and able to work efficiently to deadlines is essential
· Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy but is also a good team player
· Proven ability working in in complex multi-jurisdiction and multi-cultural environments
· Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors
· Strong organizational and time management skills are a must to successful operate and deliver to ever changing senior management requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in both spoken and written English
· Proficient in PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
