We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Specialist Engineering

Role Purpose:

The Specialist Engineer job is responsible for delivering and providing engineering expertise in a specialist Technology engineering area which may include but is not limited to data engineering, security engineering, back-end engineering, user experience engineering., ensuring continuous improvement.

Main Activities:

·  Design, develop, enhance, and deploy applications capable of meeting the performance, resilience availability, security, and service stability/self-healing requirements.
·  Participate in design/technical reviews/provide inputs and ensure the quality of the deliverables.
·  Hands-on coding and helping team members solve technical problems.
·  Ensuring procedure around governance/standards/ are followed including relevant IT Development, Change Management and Service Management etc.
·  Manage/provide the Environment support across Real Time Payment Platform including environment stability/technical functionality/identification and issue Resolution.
·  Participate, contribute, and support in environment releases including weekend support (Rotational/Need basis).
·  Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
·  Manage and support junior members of the team where required.
·  Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks/projects/programs with priority.

Requirements

·  Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective
·  Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings.
·  Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.
·  Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
·  Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
·  Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.
·  Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards.
