Overview
· Loan IQ (supplied by Misys) is a commercial lending system used by HSBC to satisfy loan servicing for Global Banking (GBM), Commercial Banking (CMB) and Security Services Corporate Trust and Loan Agency businesses (HSS CTLA). This covers servicing of so-called complex loans for HSBC in the capacity as a lender (HSBC participation and bilateral lending) and as a syndicated facility agent. Complex loans are characterized as high value corporate transactions, with complex terms and conditions, including syndicated loans.
· Loan IQ has already been implemented in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Dusseldorf and Toronto. The long term aim is that the system will become HSBC's global strategic solution for administration of all complex syndicated and bilateral loans.
· The role will be supporting the implementation of various initiative centered on Misys Loan IQ application for the strategic loan solution across HSS & GBM. We are looking to hire staff with specific domain and application knowledge.
· Responsible for significant business/product decisions. Roles at this level require significant technical and industry experience / expertise. Jobholders are expected to be subject matter experts in multiple or specific streams, business areas or products.
· Responsible for developing effective relationships with business units at a regional level. Ensuring that required IT services are identified, developed and supported to the satisfaction of the business. They are accountable for on target delivery of development projects to support regional business objectives. They establish and maintain service level agreements and are a point of contact concerning service issues.
Role Purpose
· Add value to the business by providing business driven IT consultancy, giving information about potential technology solutions, costs and timescales to enable the business management team to make informed choices about their investments in IT;
· On target delivery with agreed levels of functionality of committed projects, ensuring project progress, adherence and risk information is available to business management at all times;
· Actively market IT as a service to the business, communicating to business heads the skills and services available;
· Encourage the business to involve appropriate IT specialists at an early stage in any new programme or project to ensure greatest benefits;
· Develop relationships with client employees that foster client ties;
· Communicate with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions in conjunction with project management;
· Maintain full and up-to-date understanding of the business strategy, current practices and system capabilities;
· Represent the business, advise and educate the supplier of the business needs, and provide business input to the technology questions;
· Identify new opportunities and promote activities where customer satisfaction can be improved;
· Understand the business issues and data challenges within the client's organization and industry;
· Manage multiple change programmers across assets classes/services;
· Work with the IT supplier locally, regionally and globally to identify options (Clear Choices) and recommend solution to the best interest of the business;
· Manage activities within project delivery to the business within the agreed timeframes, cost and levels of quality and clarify the further involvement of the BAs in the project;
· Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, and circulars), internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior.
· Assist third line production support when issues occur.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Knowledge of the bilateral and syndicated loan market (including; loan's lifecycle, originations, secondary trading, agency functions, etc).
· Operational knowledge of Loan IQ application.
· Working knowledge of Loan IQ configuration.
· Working knowledge of Loan IQ accounting model.
· Ability to present and discuss the impacts resulting from change.
· Ability to configure LoanIQ to satisfy business requirements.
· Ability to analyze process flows.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to merge multiple existing workflows into a single standard flow.
· Knowledge of the Loan IQ data model.
· Proven experience in delivering specifications that are well understood by both the business and development teams.
· Proven experience in an offshore / onshore IT Development environment.
· Ability to research information and analyses data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and courses of action
· Proven strategic thinker and decision maker
· Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
