The Business Intelligence Test Lead role is based within Global Information Services.
The role of the Business Intelligence (BI) Test Lead is to have overall delivery responsibility for System Testing phases on multiple concurrent BI Projects to a diverse customer base.

Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and managing project test phases to budget and deadlines, throughout the complete Test Lifecycle including undertaking test preparation and execution
Leading a small group of testers, both onshore & offshore during project test phases
Building and maintaining appropriate and effective business and internal IT relationships
Coordinating and / or undertaking test script preparation and execution whilst adhering to the test strategy
Ensuring that the delivery of systems to the live environment meets the agreed quality expectations
Controlling concurrent testing activities and resources that vary in scale and complexity
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of a broad range of IT systems
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Collaborating effectively with remote teams
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. IT Testing, Test Analyst, Tester, Test Lead
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office applications, HP Quality Center
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Occasional travel maybe required (UK offices & potentially offshore)
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Data Warehousing, Cognos Reporting is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. working with standard (SDLC, RBPM) or Agile IT methodologies is desirable but not essential
Role relevant qualifications, i.e.ISEB or ISTQB is desirable but not essential
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Teradata, DB2, Unix, any other similar mainframe / database platform is desirable but not essential
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Clarity is desirable but not essential
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is a articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
Supported project teams/managers, showing an understanding of the basic principles of project management
Experience of successful budget management and use of numerical data to assesses and report on performance and/or identify business issues and opportunities
The base location for this role is Sheffield (GH) - pref or Birmingham (Edgbaston, Calthorpe Rd).
