Group Internal Audit
Group Internal Audit provides independent assurance to management and the Risk and Audit Committees that HSBC’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are designed appropriately and are operating effectively.
 
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
 
In this role, you will:
 
As member of IT Audit Team, the Audit Manager will focus on the IT audit area, but the Audit Manager may also participate in audit engagements of other areas.
 
Contribute to the audit process by leading audit project teams to independently conduct comprehensive reviews and assessment of systems and control procedures and ensure high audit standards are maintained with a proper balance between risk and reward;
Provide an independent appraisal of the risk and the adequacy of risk management of the auditee through audit process; and escalate the significant issues relating to reputation, legal, IT, operational and compliance risks in the auditable entities when arise;
Ensure the quality of the audit service and ad hoc assignments and to improve the efficiency of audits;
Provide administrative and quality assurance support to the audits;
Contribute to audit support activities to ensure the audits in HBCN are carried out with advanced audit tools (e.g. Computer Assisted Audit Techniques
- CAATs) and up to the high audit standards;
Perform IT project / system review to comply with local regulatory requirement
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk.

Desired profile

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
 
A high level of professional integrity and independence is expected.
University degree or above (recognized by the state).
At least 4-5 years solid experience in a professional accounting / auditing firm, or at least 6 years experience in IT function or IT audit area.
Internal Audit, IT Audit, IT Security Qualification is preferable, e.g. CIA, CISA, CISSP.
Have a sound knowledge of operational risks, technology risks, relevant financial laws, regulations and rules, in particular related to IT risk.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Capable to lead the audit project team during audit engagements.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
