Job description

The Investments Administrator role is based within Wealth Business Services within HSBC Operations Services & Technology (HOST).

The role of the Investments Administrator is to provide high-quality, timely, accurate and customer-focused investment operation processing within UK Wealth Business Services.

The postholder will gain exposure and insight to Investment Services within HSBC. High performers in this role can open career opportunities within variety of areas and roles including Investment Processing and HOST Operations Projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Opening and sorting of mail, using enveloping opening machine
· Delivery of post to the relevant teams
· Ensuring strict audit controls are adhered-to, in particular dual-control
· Referencing of post and preparing batches for scanning
· Cross trained to be to able to scan and to support with dispatch of post
· Post in and Pre-Processing of all post received within the centre
· Distribution of post to the teams
· Pre- processing by referencing post received on in-house systems ready for scanning

Desired profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
· Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office - Excel and Word
· Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. The team operate between 07:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday and flexibility is needed within these times. Core working hours are between 08:00-15:30.
· Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of HSBC retail investment products is desirable but not essential
· Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Banking Operations is desirable but not essential
· Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Investment documentation processing, such as scanning and batching is desirable but not essential
· Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service
· Consistently achieved objectives set for them and taken action to improve their own performance
· Worked collaboratively with other colleagues, supporting them when possible
· Experience of making timely and rational decisions, based on relevant information and experience
· Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
· Experience of personally complying with business processes, rules and regulations
